Northern Song Hong Tertiary Sedimentary basin is a classic case study of pull-apart in southeast Asia, whose formation was controlled by the India-Eurasia collision, sinistral and dextral strike-slip motion Ailao Shan-Red River Shear Zone Opening East Vietnam Sea during Cenozoic. Unlike central southern parts basin, northern Basin experienced very strong inversion Late Miocene.
